This Derby boot is part of the classic Van Bommel collection. The rubber outsole is produced in a custom-made injection mould, which means that no leather sole edge is needed. This makes the shoe more supple than a regular dressy boot, giving it a slightly more casual look. The layered leather heel is finished with a dovetail joint. The insole has a soft foam layer at the bottom for additional wearing comfort. The insole is not removable. The shoe is equipped with premium black calf leather lining. The instep is adorned with a stud sporting the iconic copper-coloured VB logo punched into the leather. The upper is made of premium cognac-coloured calf leather, sourced from a tannery in Chiampo, Vicenza, Italy. In our shoe factory, the leather is coloured by hand using sponges and polishing cloths.
